Still Into The Crown? Here’s Some Princess Diana Inspired Kitsch Knitwear

Campy, flamboyant, and playful, there's nothing not to love

It’s no secret that Princess Diana was once arguably the most photgraphed woman in the world. With such a title comes power, and with that power Princess Di has cemented herself firmly in the world of fashion icons, with people far and wide still lusting after her looks, some 30 years later.

At one point Diana was most remembered for her killer evening looks, from the ‘revenge dress’ to the ‘Travolta dress’. But now, the spolight has moved onto another aspect of Diana’s style, her everyday ‘I can’t talk right now, I’m doing Princess shit’ looks. While we can all ooh and ahh over her oversize sweatshirt and cycle shorts combo she was so famous for (hello lockdown style inspo) I, for a minute would like to shift your attention to her drool-worthy knitwear.

Campy, flamboyant, and playful, season four of The Crown reminded us of just how brilliant Diana’s casual style was, with Emma Corbin sporting the iconic sheep print jumper in one of the episodes. And so, as we’re in the height of winter at the minute, I thought it only right to make like Lady Di and update my wardrobe with some kitsch knitwear, because frankly, what else is there to wear right now? So go on, have a scroll through some of my best finds.
