Long gone are the days of stiletto heels. I say that now while they’re not in fashion and I mean, my opinion could change tomorrow, but in the era of kitten heels and funky trainers been noted as the stylish and trendy shoe of the season, why would one even fathom putting on a painful high heel?

Slip on mules, chic kitten heels and chunky trainers have dominated the fashion scene for the past two years thanks to brands like Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta. Showcasing style with comfort, we adore this new take on footwear and pray it goes nowhere, especially when clubs reopen and dance floors become a safe place again.

In the meantime, if a pair of chic mules is on your shopping list, Zara is leading the way with our favourite celebs and influencers.

In cream and biscuit, these Zara mules both retail at just under €40 from the brand’s TRF range and are the perfect attire for everything from brunches to late dinners, staycations to even the office.
