The Best Budget Concealers You’ll Ever Use

They cover even the most stubborn of spots, but doesn't leave skin looking dry and cakey.

As someone who’s had acne, I’ve tried a fair few concealers. From high-end to high-street there have been so many that have made it into my handbag over the years.

I’ve tried plenty that have slid off almost immediately, some that were the wrong colour, and others that had such a sheen to them they almost draw more attention to a spot.

There are so many expensive ones that I have loved, but as I get through so much of it (as now I am covering up acne scars) there are always a few budget choices I return to.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer; €5.79

This stuff is a dream.

Having always found it tricky to find a concealer in the right shade, as many are far too dark, Collection stock this in Extra Fair which is ideal for my pale skin-tone.

This is a seriously high coverage concealer and it has a thick and creamy consistency. It covers even the most stubborn of spots, but doesn’t leave skin looking dry and cakey.

It’s a great dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer at a much more affordable price. Trust us, once you try it this will quickly become your holy grail product.

Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer; €3.95

Another total bargain comes from Catrice, with their Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer. This also does exactly what it says on the tin, as it is very high coverage.

This has a much lighter consistency than the Collection one but isn’t quite as long-wearing. Ideal though if you’re after a more glowy base, and are perhaps wearing it solo without any foundation.

NYX Professional Makeup HD Photogenic Concealer Wand, €8,

If you’re after a concealer that packs a punch on hydration then this is the one. It’s perfect for drier skin types as although it’s heavy duty it doesn’t cling to any dry spots.

Extra bonus points for this one as it has a pretty decent colour range, rather than than just 3-4 colours budget concealers usually come in.
