The Face Masks You Can Wear All Day Now You’re Probably Going Make-Up Free

It feels like our skin is getting a little holiday at the moment. So why not ramp it up a notch?

We don’t know about you but this working from home situation means we’re getting really lazy when it comes to make-up.

We haven’t really been bothering to wear it at all, and tbh it feels like our skin is getting a little holiday. So why not ramp it up a notch?

One of our favourite skincare products is a sleep-in mask. For the uninitiated, it’s literally a face mask you apply before bed and sleep with it on.

Now, before you have visions of a green clay mask smeared all over your pillowcase, or you boyfriend waking up with a sheet mask stuck to his arm, these are a little different.

They are usually a thick, lush cream or gel that you apply after cleansing and as the last step in your skincare routine.

But, now that we aren’t wearing make-up, we’ve been applying them throughout the day too, especially as many of us will have the rads on in the house full blast.

This is the perfect time to  give your skin a break and some much needed TLC. Here are some of our favourites.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask; €27.50

You can guarantee this mask has appeared in every beauty junkies #shelfie in the last year or so.

They have a couple of sleep-in masks, but the Jet Lag Mask is the brand’s hero product. As the name suggests it’s ideal for parched, thirsty skin (like after flying) and it leaves skin super-hydrated after use.

What we like about this one is that it isn’t too thick, so ideal for wearing around the house, especially for those who aren’t fans of anything that leaves a tacky feeling on the skin.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask with Avocado & Swiss Glacier Water; €24.00

This is the OG of sleeping masks, as it’s been a cult product for years.

If you’re skin is feeling quite dry and thirsty, as the name suggests it will drink up this mask.

This one has a much thicker consistency, so will feel more mask-like on the skin. It also smells unreal, so you’ll want to slather it on all the time.

Allies of Skin Promise Keeper Blemish Sleeping Facial; £115.00

Lastly, is a product from a new skincare range that  just launched in Space NK. Allies of Skin is a beauty brand based on science, so no buzz words like ‘clean’ or ‘non-toxic’ here.

If blemishes are more your concern rather than hydration, this is an excellent sleep-in mask. Pop this on to help fight breakouts and it also works on other imperfections and marks on the skin.

Bit more sophisticated than lashing on the Sudocrem, huh?
