The Very Simple Way To Get Volume In Your Hair According To This Celeb Stylist

It's probably sitting in your drawer right now

There’s one thing we can all agree on when it comes to hair – volume is key.

However, for some people, said volume does not come naturally. I for one have spent more time than I’d like to admit blow drying my hair upside down and spritzing my roots with every new product under the sun, all in search of some bounce.

But, as it turns out, my extravagant escapades have seemingly been in vain, as there’s a very simple way to add some oomph to your locks, and you probably already have it sitting in your drawers.

Dry shampoo is the trick – says celeb stylist Jen Atkin.

Responsible for the hair of Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and the Kardashians, we’re going to take anything Jen says as gospel. So when she shared hair secrets with Cosmopolitan we were all ears.

Revealed the one product we need to create some volume she said: “I would definitely suggest a dry shampoo”

“I think we all know the magic of a dry shampoo and spraying it at the root can help with volume. Or, sometimes I’ll spray it onto my hand and rub it on my scalp with my hands”

Or if you’re missing some dry shampoo in your life rn, a hairspray may also do just the trick she shares.

“ou could also use a light hairspray. Spray it on a brush, tip your hair upside down and brush up from underneath. Once you’re done, use your fingers to tousle your hair.”

The idea is to add a product to your hair that gives it some grit and texture, making it easily malleable to style in whatever way you want.

Now, pass us the dry shampoo.
