Silk face masks, similar to silk pillows, silk pjs and anything silk that touches our skin is trending at the moment, and for good reason.

Silk, unlike it’s sticky, suffocating and sweaty components is great for the skin. It’s breathable, light, cool and comfortable; so, when it comes to face masks, it’s a real treat.

Yes, it’s more spenny in comparison to cotton or disposable masks, but as we all know by now… disposables are bad for the environment, cotton can feel very heavy on the face and anything knitted can often feel wet and overly moist, no thanks.

Therefore, that’s why silk is entering the chat.

Silk not only feels super soft on the skin, but it doesn’t trap water like other fabrics do, leaving for greater airflow.

As beauty lovers already know, the fabric is fantastic for pressing your face against for hours, with silk pillows known for leaving the skin unmarked, not irritated and most importantly, dry after a night’s sleep.

Now, as we head towards summer, with the hopes of one tropical spell of sunshine en route, investing in a silk mask couldn’t come at a better time. With the temperature rising, we’ll hopefully be able to socialise more and so, the need to leave your house and obviously, wear a mask, will increase.
