This Tyrone Model With Down’s Syndrome Is The New Face Of Benefit Cosmetics
Kate Grant is "paving the way" for other models with disabilities.
A Tyrone model with Down’s Syndrome has been named as the new brand ambassador for Benefit Cosmetics in Ireland.
Nineteen-year-old Kate Grant has always wanted to be a model – in August, she represented Northern Ireland in the Ultimate Beauty of the World pageant, eventually being crowned in the overall winner.
The next step in her career? Shooting a campaign for Benefit’s new Roller eyeliner. And doesn’t she look stunning?
Speaking to the Irish Examiner, Kate’s mum Deirdre said she’s “paving the way” for other models with disabilities:
She wants to spread awareness about inclusion for people with disabilities, and that is what she has done from the very start. She is aware that she’s able to do that in a way some of her friends cannot. She’s using her voice for them.
Benefit Cosmetics Ireland has promised that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Kate “strutting her stuff” this year – we can’t wait!
