This World-Famous Beauty Blogger Has A Lot Of Feelings About Kylie And Kim’s New Sold Out Lipstick Collection
Huda Beauty weighs in.
We adore when bloggers gave their most truthful opinions on beauty products, and when it comes to deciding whether or not we’re going to buy the latest make-up must-have they’re usually the first people we turn to.
One blogger you can always rely on to dole out her honest thoughts on a product is Huda Kattan and she’s been very forthright when reviewing Kylie and Kim’s beauty collab: the KKW Lip Collection from Kylie Cosmetics.
It’s not all bad. In fact, Huda says she loves the packaging and writes that “the colours are stunning” on a post on her website.
She also states that “They feel super comfortable, and have a really nice texture to them” and “lasted long enough as well.”
That’s where the compliments end however.
“When I removed the product, my lips didn’t feel particularly hydrated,” is the first of Huda’s complaints.
She goes on to say she wasn’t fully impressed with the wear or coverage either.
“Although the crème is comfortable, the pay off is quite sheer, and I prefer my lipsticks to have more coverage,” Huda writes. “I tried mixing it with a liquid matte, but the combination seemed too intense, and the lightest color, Kimberly, turned out really light and chalky.” Hmm.
In fact, Huda suggests adding another product as a way of tweaking the formula. Her advice? “If you guys get this collection and want a more opaque finish, use a liquid lipstick and then apply a very small amount of lip crème at the center and blend out,” she suggests.
Huda Kattan is one of the first bloggers to review the now sold out collaboration which went on sale mere hours ago.
Will her mixed reaction stop us buying it when it comes back in stock? Probably not, no.
