Two Pregnant Models Walked In Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty NYFW Lingerie Show

Being inclusive is one thing our gal Rihanna knows how to do right. The singer-turned-cosmetic creator/fashion designer is known to be all about diversity and equality in women, with her Fenty Beauty foundation range consisting of 40 shades for people of all different skin tones.

Now, Rihanna is showing us that pregnancy can still be sexy af. In her Savage x Fenty’s Fall 2018 runway show which took place at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday night, Rihanna had a diverse range of models of different body type and skin tone model her pieces.

The runway spectacle featured appearances by Joan Smalls and both Hadid sisters, but the casting of models went well beyond that as she also had two pregnant models walk in her new lingerie line, one of whom was Fenty’s signature model Slick Woods.

Woods has starred in a number of Fenty campaigns, and at the NYFW closing show she walked Rihanna’s latest runway in a harnessed lingerie look complete with thigh-high lace tights, stilettos and circular nipple covers.

Slick was joined by another pregnant model who wore a white mesh teddy with a halter back and plunging V-neck neckline.

The show, which was live streamed on YouTube, celebrated female empowerment and sisterhood.

Rihanna made her big appearance as the show ended, walking the runway as Elvis Presley’s “Love Me Tender” played while all the models she walked past held hands in solidarity.

This could potentially be the best NYFW show we’ve ever seen.
