Una Healy Has Launched Her Own Shoe Collection

Una Healy has been on many business ventures since The Saturday’s split, and she’s not stopping now.

The singer/songwriter is exploring both music and fashion as she launches her very own shoe collection.

Speaking to STELLAR online about the collection, Una said: “I’m so happy to finally see it come to life after I’ve been working on it for so long! I kept it so quiet, but then I started seeing a few shops stocking the shoes and I was like ‘I cant believe other people are talking about them and I still haven’t said anything myself’. Some people were messaging and tweeting me asking ‘have you got shoes coming out?’, so I’m happy to finally announce it today.”

From going solo in her music career and previously acting as a judge on RTÉ’s The Voice of Ireland, Una explained why she took a career leap to fashion, and more specifically, footwear.

“I love shoes, they’re so important. I’ve had huge passion for shoes since I was a child, I’d have my own shoes on and then put my feet into my mother’s shoes and walk around. I would go into shoe shops and try on every heel I could.

“The collection is really fun and colourful for spring/summer and I would literally wear every single style. I can’t wait to wear them all!”

The Una Healy Original Collection has almost 100 styles, all of which are to die for.

“There are hundreds of different styles and colours for all tastes, but it really reflects my personal taste, which is very common and cool. The tagline is ‘Rock It’, because I want every girl to put the shoes on and just rock them.”

 

The collection really does have something for everyone, from stiletto high heels to pretty court shoes and wearable block heels. With a multitude of styles and colours to choose from, Una filled us in on how she and her design team worked together to create such a diverse range.

“I first sat down with the team last year. They’re an amazing design team and they explained to me how it all comes about, asking what kind of styles I like, what designers I admire and that kind of thing. Then they’d send over designs and I’d look at the colours and the textures. I got to see the whole thing and be part of it all and I’m really proud of what we achieved together.”
