Wardrobe Need A New Year Revamp? Here Are Our Top Ten Picks From The Zara Sale
Feeling uninspired opening your wardrobe this January?
Perhaps you need a little injection of newness to bring you into the New Year with a bang.
If the thought of trawling through sale rails in your local Zara is too horrifying to think about (we don’t blame you, it’s every man for themselves this time of year) then don’t worry as we’ve done all the hard work for you.
The optimist in us is already thinking about spring (too soon?) and we’ve chosen the most versatile and transitional pieces so you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck.
Here’s ten of our top ten pick to buy now and wear now and well into the new year.
Sleeveless Knit Turtleneck: €9.99
Normally we would never consider wearing knitwear on a night out but these sleeveless, high neck knits from Zara won us over last year. They look amazing paired with a skirt or with leather trousers for contrasting textures.
If in doubt on how to wear, check out Rosie Connolly-Quinn or Smyth Sisters for some styling inspiration.
Colour Block Knit: €12.99
Not quite ready to let go of black? We live in black all winter, so the idea of something brighter this early in the year can seem a little daunting, so ease yourself in with this gorgeous turtleneck with just a splash of hot pink.
Oversized Check Blazer: €39.99
If you didn’t manage to nab yourself a check blazer last year, now is your chance in the sales. Everyone who’s anyone seemed to be wearing one and the trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
This one with it’s black, white and grey tones will go with everything.
Button-Up Black Blazer: €49.99
To avoid making any impulse buys, which is so easy to do in sale season, try and stock up on some good quality basics. If you don’t have a plain black blazer in your wardrobe this is a great time to pick up a classic piece.
An oversized one pairs well over jeans and a jumper, easy to wear to work and also looks chic flung over a black mini or cycling shorts for a night out.
Studded Animal-Print Ankle Boots: €39.99
Have we found the perfect day-to-night shoe? We can totally see ourselves wearing these into work with jeans and a blazer, they’re also the perfect style and height for a night out (just high enough to look dressy but not too high that you cant dance all night). These beauties are going to the top of our wishlist.
Leather Mountain Ankle Boots: €59.99
Scrolling through Instagram since September has seemed like a never ending stream of influencers rocking the Grenson Nanette boots. Although we loved them, we just couldn’t justify the price-tag.
Luckily Zara have a great dupe for the real thing, and they’re on sale too!
Printed Midi-Dress: €29.99
We’re getting serious Rixo vibes from this floral number but the difference is it’s only €29.99! Pair with chunky boots and tights for now, then switch out for sandals or white trainers when the weather gets warmer.
Printed Dress With Belt: €29.99
The ideal Friday night guna. Paired with tights and boots it’s perfect to wear to work, and then straight to the pub afterwards, no outfit change necessary (unless you’re brave enough to ditch the tights in January).
Animal Print Coat: €49.99
A bold, fun piece like this is great to have in your wardrobe. Trust us, leopard print never goes out of fashion and we predict you’ll be wearing this at the start of the next decade too.
Oversized Double Breasted Coat: €49.99
This tangerine dream would be a great one to buy now and stash away until Spring. We are imagining it paired with a crisp white tee, blue jeans and trainers. The perfect Spring outfit.
If you can’t wait that long try it with grey knitwear underneath, a colour combo we love.
