What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

Love, love, love

Happy Friday – and happy Everything Team STELLAR Is Loving day!

Here’s what you need to know.

Head of Digital Jade is loving… Glow Hub

Skincare can get a little… expensive.

Between the serums, the SPFs, the glass skin masks that you leave on for the entire night, sometimes it can feel like we’re constantly shelling out to give our skin what it needs.

Well, Glow Hub is here to help. The entire skincare range is so affordable, whether you’re after a hydrating wand, a scar slaying serum, or a cute little hand sanitiser keychain.

We’ve been trying their Peach Nourish and Hydrate Serum Mist, and it’s been a gorgeous addition to our routine.

Spritz under makeup, spritz over, or spritz whenever you like throughout the day for a burst of hydration. Gorge.

Editorial intern Nia is loving… Mrs Doubtfire: The Musical

via Brian McEvoy

Get ready because the beloved Mrs Doubtfire is heading to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre this winter.

The iconic Scottish nanny, Euphegenia Doubtfire, will be performing her fabulous musical from Wednesday December 2 until Sunday January 3.

We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek into how Mrs Doubtfire felt about coming to Dublin for the first time to preform and let’s just say she is fitting in quite nicely already.

She has already poured her own Guinness, tried a spice bag and drove past Trinity College plenty of times, embracing the culture of Dublin.

We are promised a show of laughter, dancing, singing and a special Irish treat within the musical. Tickets are on sale now from €29.80, and with over 35 shows running we are confident it is not an outing to be missed.

Jade is loving… Good TV

via Apple TV

It’s been a good year for television so far, and it may have just gotten a whole lot better.

Apple TV’s Widow’s Bay kicked off last week and it’s been receiving rave reviews ever since.

Set in an island town were very strange things happen, this horror/comedy feels like the perfect antidote to every ultra serious crime series and Not That Funny show that has landed in recent years.

Because it’s really funny – and really quite scary.

Starring Matthew Rhys, the series has been described as Stephen King meets The White Lotus – so that’s all you need to know really.

Nia is loving… Luminous looking skin

There is nothing better than finding a new skincare product that hydrates, refreshes and gives your skin that glowy effect.

The No7 Dual Protect & Perfect Action Cleansing Water does all that and more, with natural AHAs derived from fruit extracts the cleansing water helps to accelerate surface skin cell turnover to refine texture and smooth your skin.

This product has now become an absolute staple in my skincare routine and with the product being dermatologically tested I had no worries applying it onto my face, and I am so glad I did.

The product instantly cooled my face and left my skin looking luminous.

Jade is loving… The Devil Wears Prada 2

via Macall Polay 20th Century Studios

I know, I know, it’s already been out for a week but I went to see it last night and I need to talk about it.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is maybe one of the only sequels in recent years that actually feels relevant.

We’re talking layoffs, AI ruining art, publications being stripped of their integrity and icons being pushed out in favour of whoever happens to have the most money.

Diet Coke hosted a screening of the film in Dublin this week (which makes sense seeing as it’s the only thing they drink in this movie), and it was full of gals – having fun, having a laugh, and having severe fashion envy, no doubt.

It’s really good. Go see it.

Nia is loving… A Blank Street matcha dupe

Matcha lovers, if you’re anything like me, you might crave nothing more than a Blank Street matcha – the taste, the texture, it’s in its own league.

Now while we annoyingly don’t have the US café brand as of yet, there are definitely some places to get a similar tasting drink.

One I found that was nearly identical was the blueberry matcha from The Pantry, they have locations all around, from Bray to Rathmines. They offer so many different flavours and I still am making my way through the list, but so far it is the closest matcha I can compare to Blank Street.

Another place that offers a similar matcha taste is Golden Brown in Cabinteely, and if you find yourself there, the toasties are also incredible.
