What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

What we're loving, talking about and obsessing over this week!

It is really, really giving spring right now.

The grand stretch in the evenings is stretching and the mornings are a little brighter which has brought such a boost to day-to-day life.

We are very much looking forward to the days when we don’t need to wear a jacket to work here at STELLAR, all the potential outfits that could be worn when warmth on the commute is not the first priority? Exciting!

As well as spring, we are also excited about other newness popping up lately, new music from Niall Horan, lots of new tv shows to watch including the latest season of You which is already out and the latest Outer Banks which is on the way, to name a few. It really feels like we are entering a new season, or ‘era’ maybe, if we can’t officially say it’s spring yet.

Here is what we are loving this week in our spring is almost here era.

Jade H is loving… going for a wander

Spring is fast approaching (some may even say it’s already here), and with it is coming an outdoor adventure festival set to take over Killarney for one weekend only in March.

Ireland’s Great Outdoors Festival, Wander Wild, is taking place from March 24 – 26 and features countless engaging activities (adventurous and otherwise) including kayaking, mountain hikes, swims, morning yoga, and more.

Whether you’re an avid wild wanderer or someone who craves a little more of the outdoors in your life, there’s something for everyone at this festival. What’s more is that you can book individual activities to suit you, to ensure that you have a perfectly curated experience.

Team STELLAR will be going for a wander (possibly in the wild) next month, so stay tuned to hear all about how we get on.

Plus, it’s in Killarney. And everybody loves Killarney. You can find out more about Wander Wild and book yourself some tickets here.

Jade C is loving…Winter Love Island

From Lifted Entertainment

Guys, I know that there were reservations when Love Island was announced for another winter series, but when I tell you this season is on-par with last summer’s drama, I mean it.

Last night was the Casa Amor recoupling and I was going through an emotional roller-coaster. It has to be up there in the top five episodes of the series overall and I’ve seen them all. If you were sceptical and didn’t choose to tune in for this season, I 100% recommend catching up on demand, I can imagine binging it will be very satisfying because you can skip the frustration of the constant cliffhangers lol.

I adore having the show to look forward to every night at 9pm, it brings some structure to my evenings and for the gloomy period while we await the official start of spring, it is such a pick me up.

Lorna is loving… Emma Hardie Facial, Harvey Nichols Dundrum

I’m not one for facials usually – the last one I had was over 4 years ago now. I have my lotions and potions at home and am actually quite good at knowing what my skin needs but after my experience with the Emma Hardie skin team at Harvey Nichols Dundrum, I think I may be a changed woman!

The experience is so spa like that you quite literally forget you’re in the middle of a busy department store – I was way too close to falling asleep having achieved a level of relaxation one could only dream of. My skin expert Sinead was the sweetest person as well as being incredibly knowledgeable. I was asked what I thought my skin concerns were and she then took a look herself and treated with products she felt would help. We had a debrief afterwards where she explained everything and recommended some products she felt would help me. Emma Hardie – I’ll be back!

And chocolate, too. This week, magician and mentalist Keith Barry teamed up with Cadburys to put on a special How Do You *Not* Eat Yours? show in a Dublin theatre.

Upon entry, every guest was given a Creme Egg that they were called upon to use for the show. There was mind reading, egg eating (or not), and Keith even shared someone’s pin number with the entire room. Bad out for them… great entertainment for the rest of us.

Cadbury’s half milk, half white chocolate Creme Eggs are back in stores now – but if you find one, you can’t eat it, because it’ll win you a load of cash. Happy hunting!

Jade C is loving… The Opera

We all know I love to include a bit of the arts if I can, this week the opera is my art of choice!

This is an experience you should definitely try if you haven’t before. You feel so inspired after and like you’ve taken part in something very exclusive, plus you get to tell people you were “at the opera last night”, and how cool does that sound?

The talent in Ireland is immense and sitting in the theatre you will be mesmerised by voices hitting notes you didn’t know possible, seamlessly. If you’re already a fan of opera or if you’re looking to try something new in 2023, The Irish National Opera presents, DER ROSENKAVALIER in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from March 5th -11th March. Toi toi toi!

Lorna is loving… Jones Road Miracle Balm

via Jones Road Beauty

I’ve always had a love for a full face of makeup but there’s just something about barely there products that elevate the natural features of your face that hits differently. Bobbi Brown products were some of my first as a 15-year-old because she was always preaching the less is more way of makeup and it’s something I have lived by for my everyday makeup since.

The miracle balm is designed to be used in multiple ways to give yourself a hint of colour without contouring unnaturally. It can be applied above foundation, below it and even on its own. I love a hint of it on my eyelids to give a glossy texture without the oily look. The miracle Balm is available in a variety of shades from dusty rose to peachy coral and cool sheer bronze to deep reddish bronze – it’s the perfect flush of colour to make you feel put together before you walk out the door.
