Zoella Has Been Nominated For A Teen Choice Award And People Are Pretty Pissed

Zoe Sugg, AKA Zoella, is one of the UK’s biggest Youtubers.

With over 12 million subscribers, 10.8 million Instagram followers, two best selling novels, a beauty range and even a wax figure in Madame Tussauds to boast , she has enjoyed years and years of online success.

Anyone who’s anyone knows who this gal is, and her self built following is seriously impressive. But currently,  people are voicing their confusion at the 28-year-olds latest Teen Choice Award nomination… mainly because of the category she is up for.

The girlfriend of fellow Youtube Alfie Deyes has been nominated in the 2018 awards, in the Choice Beauty Web Star category, along with some other pretty well known beauty influencers including Nikkie Tutorials, James Charles and Kandee Johnson. (Makeup royalty in their own right)

Despite Zoe publicly acknowledging before that she is no expert and focusing both her blog and Youtube channel on lifestyle content such as baking and clothing hauls, her inclusion in the beauty category has people pretty annoyed.

Right not being funny but zoella being nominated for a makeup award really annoys me, the amount of artists I follow on Instagram that create actual art on their eyes when there’s people getting awards for some brown in the crease & shimmer on the lid ://
