The odds look good, people.

Sephora has long been acknowledged as Mecca for anyone with even a passing interest in cosmetics.

The beauty giant has close to 2,000 stores across the US and Canada, each featuring wall-to-wall lipsticks, primers, eyeshadows, perfumes, brushes… you name it.

It’s heaven, basically.

Up until now, us beauty lovers have had to go long-haul to get our Sephora fix, but it appears that’s all about to change. Earlier this month, shoppers at Westfield department store in Stratford near London reported seeing hoardings with Sephora branding outside a vacant store front.

Then, just yesterday, skincare expert and celebrity blogger Caroline Hirons tweeted news of a “confirmed” UK opening, which to us is as good as gospel.

Needless to say, people have been getting very, very excited about the impending new arrival.

With a Sephora opening all but locked in for London, we can only hope that Dublin is next on the US beauty giant’s list. After all, most American fashion and beauty brands that have made the jump to the UK have followed suit with Irish openings *relatively* shortly after. Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel… the list goes on.

This A/W looks set to be a pivotal one for Dublin’s shopping scene, with & Other Stories opening on Grafton St in the coming weeks and talk of a Victoria’s Secret store in the building which formerly housed BT2 – although there’s been no update on the latter since earlier this year.
