#WellWed: Marie-Louise Naughton’s Bridal Beauty Diary

We've more on pre-wedding workouts and skincare regimes - all in the name of love, and stunning selfies. This time we're talking to Marie-Louise Naughton. Check it

Marie-Louise Naughton, 28, social worker.

Marrying: Eoghan Quain on 29th December.

Place: Mass at Templeglantine Church and a reception at The Devon Inn Hotel, both in Co Limerick.

Beauty look: Natural and soft.

Her winter wedding is a while away yet, so Marie-Louise is sticking to what she knows. “I’ll do my usual thing when it comes to hair. I use a good shampoo from Redken, well actually I use two – most days it’s the Curvaceous Cream Shampoo, €16, and then once a week the Cleansing Cream Shampoo, €16, to deep cleanse and purge all the product! Other than that I suppose I’ll just go for the chop in October so it’ll be grown out a bit; I don’t want the new haircut kind of look on my wedding day!”

In keeping with the less is more approach, she’s found her skincare Holy Grail, so there’s no need for anything else. “Kerstin Florian is a bit expensive but it actually lasts forever. There’s a Rehydrating Neroli Cleansing Milk, €28, Rehydrating Neroli Water, €25 – a toner I think, it’s a spritz spray, and then the Rehydrating Liposome Face Creme, €45 – they all come together in a set,” explains Marie-Louise.

Add to this the basics, done just right, and there’ll be no nasty surprises in the lead up to the big day. “I always take off my make-up at night, no excuses. I cleanse, tone and moisturise, and again in the morning,” she confirms.

Although she’s yet to book a hair stylist, the bride-to-be won’t be going DIY. “For anything, bar the pre-tan body exfoliation,” she stresses, laughing. “It’s nice to splash out a little bit; it’s all part of the process.”

STELLAR definitely digs that logic, and it seems we have even more in common with Marie-Louise – she’s a big fan of the eyebrow empress, Kim O’Sullivan, telling us, “I actually just had an appointment for HD brows, so that’s one thing I’m doing that’s different. It was my first time and I’ve already booked my second appointment for five weeks down the line.”

That’s the beauty sorted, but there’ll definitely be body prep thrown into the mix too, says this fitness fan. “I go to the gym two or three times a week anyway and I’ll keep that up, plus I’ll make sure I get in a weights session as well. I find it mentally really good.” #totesagree
