Update: Rob Kardashian Could Face Jail Time Following Yesterday’s ‘Revenge Porn’ Posts About Blac Chyna

He posted a series of explicit photos of his ex on Instagram.

Rob Kardashian went on an Instagram rant yesterday, posting nude photos of his ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna, with whom he shares a seven-month-old daughter, as well as private text messages they had sent to one another.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star accused his ex of cheating on him with other men in his bed, and even body shamed her by making derogatory comments about her nipples.

The world watched with baited breath as he posted, deleted, and reposted the explicit images to over nine million followers. Despite the fact that his account has since been deleted, it seems Rob could now face criminal charges for his actions.

So-called ‘Revenge porn’ is illegal in California, which means the 30-year-old could face jail time and fines for sharing the photos on Instagram yesterday afternoon.

The law is relatively new having only been instated in 2013, but it clearly says that if sexually explicit photos or videos are shared without the consent of the person featured, then the person who posted the content has broken the law.

The Business Insider spoke with two lawyers about what legal actions are available to Chyna, and the options are three-fold.

If she reports him to the police and goes down the ‘criminal charges’ route, Rob can face up to 6 months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.

Or, she can sue him through the civil courts to claim hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages, or thirdly, she can go through the family court, which could see him faced with a restraining order and the loss of custody of his child.

Blac Chyna has not yet responded to yesterday’s events.
