4 Fab Things To Do This Weekend
Stuck for something to do this weekend? From market fairs to free film screenings, we've found the best stuff for you to get up to.
Free movies in Marley
There are free movie screenings all day Saturday and Sunday this weekend in Marley Park, and there’s a sensational line up of films. 3pm on Saturday there’s The Lego Film. At 5pm, they’re showing The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies and at 8pm, it’s Harry Met Sally. Over to Sunday and at 2pm you can catch Stuart Little, at 5pm there’s Braveheart and at 8pm, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. We’re packing a two day picnic and not making any other plans.
Shakespeare in The Iveagh
This has been organised by Fortune Fool’s Productions and it’s a raucous performance of Shakespeare’s most misogynist comedy. (Not a Traditional) Taming Of The Shrew will most certainly keep you entertained and there’s already over 5,000 people set to attend. Get there early and bring yourself some munchies and a blanket. It’s taking place all weekend at different times. Here’s what you need to know.
Smithfield Market Fair
This is definitely one of our top picks for the weekend and it never disappoints. There are so many activities for you to choose from. From browsing through vintage goodies to underground cinema to live bands and DJs, and lots, lots more. Pop down for a look around and get yourself a delicious brunch first. Here is all the information you need.
Fusion Sunday World Culture Festival
This is a free festival combining cultures from all around the world with international stalls, workshops and performances. There’s going to be everything from Mexican street food to African handcrafts, to Spanish Flamenco and Shivam Yoga. There’ll be beautiful food and treats and plenty of things happening to keep you occupied. You can even try your hand at a belly dancing class, if you wish. It’s on from 11am-5pm in Dublin 8. Here are all the deets.
