4 Totally Awesome Things You Need To Do This Weekend
From colour runs to free outdoor yoga classes: here's your roundup of the most fun stuff to do this weekend.
Ireland’s Most fun run
The Holi Rainbow Run has become pretty famous all over the globe and this weekend it returns to Dun Laoghaire. It’s a 5k run with a difference as all the participants wear white and have powder paint paint thrown at them by spectators, making for a seriously fun and colourful event. After the race you can cool off by sliding down the custom built slippery slide that lands you right in the sea. You can find all the info here.
Cork Midsummer Festival
This is an arts festival taking place all across Cork City this weekend and there will be over 40 events, 95 performances, 25 venues and an expected 40,000 people flooding the city to check it all out. This year the festival promises music, dance, theatre, visual arts and even a circus.
Dublin Pride
After the passing of the marriage equality bill last month, this is going to be an absolutely huge event. It starts on Friday in Dublin and there’s a full line up of things taking place all over the city. We’re talking everything from pride runs to parties, musical celebrations, dog shows and bingo. Here’s all the info.
International Yoga Day
We have a good few yogis here in STELLAR and we’re all about celebrating something that’s truly amazing for the mind, body and soul.
This Saturday for International Yoga day there will be the usual outdoor yoga classes taking place at 11am in Stephen’s Green Park and Phoenix Park but if you head out to St Anne’s Park in Clontarf on Sunday, there’s three hours of free yoga taking place. Head there for 3pm to get zen.
