5 Early Bird Menus To Get In Dublin This Weekend
Fancy a meal out without spending a fortune? We’ve picked five of our favourite early bird eateries where you can get yourself some very tasty eats and excellent deals.
Riba
This restaurant in Stillorgan is perfect if you don’t want to trek into town for a night on the tiles. It’s also a romantic little spot and they have a special date night menu. You can get two courses for €19.50 and three courses for €23.30 and it’s on all weekend from 5pm until 7pm. We say, go for the the two courses and then head next door to the cinema where you can share a dessert or some sweets. Delicious.
Il Primo
This is a beautiful little restaurant situated in a romantic period house just a few minutes away from St. Stephen’s Green. You can scoff two courses for €23 and three for €26, and – a heads up – the menu is absolutely gorgeous. Don’t leave without trying the white chocolate and amaretto bread & butter pudding and get your date to order the raspberry tiramisu. Yum.
Odessa
Odessa is a savage spot for a night out and you can get their early bird for next to nothing. Two courses are only €19.50 and you can get three for €23.95. We recommend the crab cakes to start, the risotto and chilli roast squash with melted goats cheese for your main, and the vanilla panna cotta with fresh raspberries to finish things off. It finishes at 7pm so get there early and head to their roof terrace after to have some more drinks.
Suesey Street
You will feel spoilt rotten dining at this Fitzwilliam Place restaurant and the terrace is amazing. It also has an outdoor fire which heats up the whole spot up and makes you feel like you’re somewhere exotic. The set menu runs all night on Friday which is deadly so you don’t need to worry about rushing out early. Two courses are €27 and three are €33.
Whitefriar Grill
This Aungier Street eatery needs no introduction; you’ve probably heard all about it. Booking far in advance is usually recommended as most of the time it’s jammers. You’ll have to get there before 6pm at the weekend but you can indulge in three whopper courses for €24.50 and whatever you do, order the chocolate fondue with peanut butter fudge. We’re hungry thinking about it.
