5 Free Things You Need To Do This Weekend
From casting your vote in marriage referendum to picking up some bargains at the Bernard Shaw flea market, we've found some fun, fabulous (and most importantly) free things to do this weekend.
Vote yes
The marriage equality referendum is finally here and whatever you do this weekend, you need to get to your local polling station (Don’t forget your ID!) to cast your vote. LovinDublin have given these tips for polling day; give them a read through before you go.
Take the plunge
Adrenaline junkies should get to Dun Laoghaire this weekend, as there’s a charity bungee jump taking place, and you can watch for free from The Carisle Pier. It’s a 160 foot plunge for The Irish Youth Foundation. The event kicks off at noon and runs until 6pm. Fancy taking the plunge yourself? You’ll need €150 for a single jump and €250 to go tandem. Get the deets here.
John Rocha and Simon Rocha sample sale
It’s not often that this pair have sample sales and even if we’re not spending, we’ll be going for a serious swoon. We’re really looking forward to see seeing what’s on offer and also getting some summer inspo too.
Galway African Film Fest
Love film? You should deffo head to the Galway African film festival. They’ll be showing a number of film screenings the whole weekend through, including a few you won’t get to see anywhere else. The venue is the Huston School Of Film & Digital Media. All the info that you need is here.
Kilo Vintage and Bernard Shaw Flea
You’re sure to find some absolute gems in both of these places this weekend. The kilo sale is on in The RDS on Sunday 10am-7pm and you can get nab a kilo of clothes for €20.
There’ll be 20 stalls at the May flea market in the Bernard Shaw, plus pizzas from the big blue bus, good tunes and special offer cocktails. Get there Sunday between 1pm and 6pm.
