We love finding new places for a bevvy, so we put a shout out on Twitter and asked you to tell us your favourite place to enjoy a drink. Here’s your pick of the best boozers nationwide.
Dublin
Hitting up the capital? Drop by Alfies on South William St for cocktails in the city. They do a fab Long Island Ice Tea. Heading somewhere for a pint and a bite to eat? You told us The Laurels in Clondalkin is the place to go for great grub.
Galway
Quays Bar is where it’s at for a deadly atmosphere and live music – they have entertainment upstairs until 2am every night. You also told us you love Oslo’s for it’s selection of beers and for watching the match on the big screen.
Limerick
The George Boutique Hotel is modern and vibrant, with a DJ playing every Saturday – and bonus, it has wi-fi! Not your thing? You told us Nancy Blake’s on Upper Denmark Street has an authentic traditional feel and you love kicking back with a drink by the fire.
Cork
Big on wine? Arthur Maynes on Pembroke Street is the place to go. It houses a state of the art wine system that lets you sample up to 24 varities of wine before you shell out for a bottle. Fancy! Going for a traditional feel? You told us The Long Valley is a cosy pub set right right in the heart of the city. And FYI, they do amazo sandwiches!
