Five Simple Smoothie Recipes To Kickstart Your Morning

Quick, easy and delish = the ideal brekkie.

We all know how we’re told breakfast is the most important meal of the day – but we also know that sometimes you’re rolling out of bed and rushing out the door with a slice of toast in your mouth.

If that sounds like you, we’ve got the perfect thing for you – quick and easy smoothies.

They’re easy to prepare the night before, and you can bring them with you if you’re in a hurry! Just make sure you’re pairing your smoothie with something to eat too.

Here are a few tasty smoothie recipes that all follow the same instructions: blend the ingredients until thick and creamy. Easy peasy!

Very Berry

  • A handful of strawberries
  • A handful of blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 100ml orange juice
  • 60ml greek yoghurt

This one is bursting with berry goodness and sure to boost your mood!

Green Goddess

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 banana
  • 2 teaspoons of honey
  • A large handful of spinach leaves
  • 300ml milk or milk alternative

If you like cinnamon, add a quarter of a teaspoon in before you blend. Delicious.

Tropical Sunshine

  • 200g mango
  • 200g pineapple
  • 100ml Greek yoghurt
  • 100ml almond milk
  • A teaspoon of honey

Hold back a pineapple slice to garnish – you’re practically on your holidays!

Cherrylicious

  • 300g cherries
  • 1 banana
  • 200g Greek yoghurt
  • 2 teaspoons of honey

Replace the greek yoghurt with strawberry yoghurt and add less honey if you have a sweeter tooth!

Nutter Butter

  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp smooth natural peanut butter
  • 125ml oat milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Okay so this one may not be the healthiest of the bunch but it does have a banana… (swap the peanut butter for Nutella if you’re feeling like dessert for breakfast!)
