Grace Mongey On Getting Candid About Mental Health & Growing Alongside Her Following

"I don’t feel pressure to be any other way online."

Grace Mongey may be best known by her Instagram moniker @facesbygrace, but the influencer has become so much more than her makeup content.

From posting beauty videos in her bedroom to becoming a busy mam of two, Grace says that over the years, how she posts on social media has changed as she has grown too.

“Everything I share is just because it’s what’s happening in my life,” she tells STELLAR. “I still do love makeup and beauty but I don’t have the time for it anymore. I have two kids, two animals and I just can’t sit down and do a full face of makeup. This is me straight after the gym and I don’t feel pressure to be any other way online.”

Grace appears on the current issue of STELLAR Magazine alongside her best friends Dominique Nugent and Jen Carroll. The trio chat all about their decade-long friendship and how their love for one another has gotten them through some tough times.

“I’ve known Jen all my life,” says Grace. “Our parents’ houses back onto each other, so we grew up together. I met Dominique in secondary school and introduced her to Jen because I felt like they’d be great friends.”

Grace also chats to editor Megan about her candidness surrounding her mental health online, and how her family and friends have always been there for her no matter what.

“The worst time was when I was in Australia with Dominique and one of the other girls,” she says. “They knew I had some difficulties but not to the extent that it got to. I was kind of brushing it off. But they were living with it so they could see.”
