The sun is out in Ireland which only means one thing. Someone, somewhere has messaged the group chat with the one word tempting question, “Pints?”.

If you’re on the receiving end of that text, and are looking for the best spot to enjoy some food and drinks in the sun, then you’ve come to the right place. We have five of the best beer gardens in Dublin for you.

1.The Living Room

Located on Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin 1. This beer garden is renowned for being one of the best spots in the city to watch sports, with big flat screens so you can take it all in.

For those who of you who are less sporty, it’s also great for food and drinks in the sun and a buzzing atmosphere.

Walk-ins are welcome but they also offer a booking system on their website.

2. The Celt Pub

This central beer garden is perfect for anyone who decides to have some last minute spontaneous drinks while out shopping on the North Side.

Located on Talbot Street, this lively beer garden is perfect for a few drinks with friends.

Offering up delicious pub-grub and live music from 9.30pm every night of the week, what more could you want?

3. The Blue Light Pub

This beautiful pub is located on the foothills of the Dublin mountains, but not to worry –  it’s easy enough to reach as it’s only a stones throw from Sandyford.

They have an array of outdoor spaces with beer gardens to the front of the venue, as well as their secret garden which allows you to take in the stunning views of Dublin city and the bay. You can watch the sunset, and if you’re lucky – some people have even met Bono or Shane Lowry here!

They have delicious food and regular live music.

4. The Old Schoolhouse

Well known for its live music alongside its food, The Old Schoolhouse have a selection of beer gardens to choose from.

Located in Swords, their outdoor spaces are each filled with their own unique character and can be covered and heated when needed.

This spot is ideal for outdoor dining all year round.

5. No Name bar

Also known as The Bar with No Name or Snail Bar due to the statue located right outside, this outdoor terrace is the perfect spot on Fade St for pints, cocktails, or brunch on the weekends.

With a great variety of drinks available, it is really an all-rounder!
