2 Simple-To-Make Cocktails Perfect For A Galentine’s Night In

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching – or if you’re anything like us, you’ll be celebrating Galentine’s Day instead.

February is a time for love, for spreading joy, and for showing those closest that you care. So make sure you grab the gals, mix some delicious cocktails, and plan the perfect night in.

Schweppes has put together two refreshing and flavour-filled cocktails that we’re super excited to try this Galentine’s Day.

The country’s best loved mixer has created two iconic drinks ideal for socialising with your besties this month. Sip away on them for the evening while watching a movie, or enjoy them before heading out on the town – the possibilities for a fun-filled night are endless!

The Stewed Rhubarb cocktail has undertones of custard candies making it both sweet and aromatic. Bubbles from Schweppes Tonic lifts the drink before creating a welcome zesty and dry bite.

The Pretty in Pink cocktail pairs sweet Schweppes Pink Soda with cranberry juice, gin and Aperol to create a delicious, low-calorie drink, with an aromatic blend of lemon, lime, and orange.

You won’t be stuck for anything sweet this Galentine’s Day – and what better way to celebrate than with a pretty pink Schweppes soda?

Pretty in Pink

Ingredients

  • 40ml Gin
  • 20ml Aperol
  • 15ml cranberry juice
  • 15ml lime juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • 100ml Schweppes Pink Soda Water
  • 1x pink grapefruit slice to garnish

Method

  • Fill your cocktail shaker with ice
  • Add your gin, Aperol, cranberry juice, lime juice and sugar syrup to the cocktail shaker and shake.
  • Fill your glass with ice, pour in 100ml of Schweppes Pink Soda Water followed by the shaken ingredients from your cocktail shaker
  • Stir and garnish with Pink Grapefruit wedge

Schweppes Rhubarb & Gin

Ingredients

  • 20ml Dry Gin (suggested Gordons’ / Bulldog market dependent)
  • 25ml Rhubarb Liqueur. Note if bars do not have Rhubarb Liqueur, 50ml of Rhubarb Gin can be used as an alternative to 20ml Gin and 25ml Rhubarb Liqueur
  • Top with Schweppes Tonic Water
  • Lemon wedge to garnish

Method

  • Place cubed ice in glass before adding ingredients
  • Stir quickly to dilute and chill
  • Top with Schweppes Tonic Water
  • Lightly mix (pull) all ingredients together
  • Garnish
