The vibrant colour of this alone will be enough to put a spring in your morning step, and if that doesn’t do it, then the zesty taste certainly will. Grab yourself two carrots, the juice of a medium sized orange, 1/2 a medium lemon (keep the skin on!) and half a cup of unsweetened coconut milk. It’s full of antioxidants and you’ll also be stacking up on 105% of of your RDA of vitamin C, and 150% of your Vitamin A. Can’t get much healthier than that.

This smoothie is ideal for when you’re too busy to sit down and have a healthy brekkie, the almonds and yoghurt make it a bit more substantial than the other recipes. Get yourself 2 ripe peaches (pits removed), 6 unsalted almonds, 12 ounces of vanilla or natural greek yoghurt, a table spoon of flaxseed, and mix with soya milk to the fill line. It tastes sensational and you’ll be getting nearly 20 grams of protein too.

This smoothie is perfect for doing exactly that, while still being extremely tasty and refreshing. Don’t be deterred by the ingredients, we promise you it’s nice and it’s also great for those who are trying to lose weight. You need 1/2 a cup of kale, 3 sprigs of parsley, 2 large chunks of cucumber, 1/2 stalk of celery, 1/2 a pear, a slice of ginger, a splash of apple cider vinegar, and 1 and 1/2 cups of water.

Beet Smoothie

This is a brilliant diet smoothie working almost as a meal in itself. Thanks to the addition of beetroot, it’s jam-packed full of fibre, detoxifying  and anti-carcinogenic properties too. All you will need is 1/2 a medium banana, 1 medium beetroot, and 1/2 a medium apple, which you’ll need to mix with skim milk up to the fill line. It might not be the tastiest juice on the menu today, but it’s definitely one of the healthiest.
