Sometimes a really painful period would make you wish you hadn’t female anatomy at all.

The cramps, the sweats, the headaches, the aches anywhere in the body or the pain every time you sit down to pee – it’s all part of the fun and games of being a person with a uterus.

Masturbation not only makes you feel good and relieves stress, but it can also actually help with things like period pain.

In fact, sex brand Womanizer’s survey called ‘Menstrubation (menstruation+masturbation)’ found that 90% of those surveyed recommended it for period pain and 70% said it made periods less intense.

So while heat pads or hot water bottles can work wonders for relieving pain, some self-love while you have your period is a far more fun alternative, albeit a little messy.
