Here’s The Most Dangerous Sex Position For Straight Couples

If you’ve ever watched Sex Brought Me To The ER, a TLC tv show where couples who have, er, encountered an injury while having sex have wound up in the emergency room, you’ll know that their mishaps are usually the result of trying out some tricky new manoeuvre.

So, when the most dangerous sex position was finally revealed, we fully expected it to be one of those crazy Karma Sutra moves that only the super bendy could achieve.

But we were wrong, because the position that’s most likely to cause injury is a bedroom favourite: girl on top.

Over a 13-year period, researchers looked at records from three different hospitals and discovered that the cowgirl position was responsible for half the penile fractures reported.

The researchers explained that when the woman is on top “she usually controls the movement with her entire body weight landing on the erect penis, not being able to interrupt it when the penis suffers a wrong way penetration.” Ouch.

Thankfully though, penile fractures are very rare – only 42 were reported over the entire 13-year study – so  the chances of you, um, breaking your fella’s micky are very, very slim.
