‘So Excited!’: Author Louise O’Neill Just Shared Some Amazing News On Twitter

Congratulations are in order for Cork author Louise O’Neill this evening.
The writer behind Only Ever Yours took to Twitter just now to reveal that her second book, Asking For It, has been optioned for a TV series.
Sharing the news, Louise told fans she was “so excited” for the project, which will see her working for Bandit Television to co-write the script.

Asking For It has sparked a huge social conversation about sexual violence and consent since its release in September 2015.
Bandit’s MD Phillipa Giles said the company was “enormously privileged” to be working with Louise to adapt her “extraordinarily powerful and painful novel”.
The news comes just months after the film rights to Only Ever Yours were bought by US company Killer Content.
