She caught the attention of the world when she rocked that stunning Miu Miu tweet jacket at the 2020 presidential inauguration and now, Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter to the Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris, is set to become a big name in the modelling industry.

At just 21-years-old, we know that 2021 is going to bring about some big moves for Ella, so here’s the lowdown on all you need to know.

1. Ella has just signed with IMG Models

As one of the biggest modelling agencies in the world, managing the likes of Gigi Hadid and Gisele Bundchen, you know that Ella is in good hands here.

2. She has 18 tattoos

Describing her tattoos as “weird”, Ella admitted in an interview with the New York Times that she did most of them on herself during lockdown. She must have a very steady hand.

3. She’s extremely creative

Well, this would explain the above tattoo DIY, as Ella attended Parsons School of Design in New York, always seeing herself headed in a creative direction career wise.

4. She calls Kamala Harris ‘momala’

Kamala and Ella have a very close relationship and this was evident throughout the presidential campaign, calling her stepmother ‘momala’.

Introducing Harris at the 2020 Democratic National Convention, Ella said:

“To my brother and me, you’ll always be Momala, the world’s greatest stepmom…” cute!

5. Ella has one brother, Cole

You might have spotted Cole at the inauguration with Ella. Keeping his private life prettyyyy private, what we do know about Cole is that he graduated from Colorado College in May 2017, was apparently named after John Coltrane and is in a serious longterm relationship.

6. She loves to knit

Another reason she’s such a creative gyal, Ella loves to knit and is constantly up cycling her clothing and making pieces out of old fabric.

7. She’s 5ft 6 inches

Some reports claim Ella is 5ft 7, while most appear to say she’s 5ft 6 so until she/or her modelling agency confirms it, we’ll go with the general consensus.

8. She sells her designs and raffles her clothing

Ella loves to give back and from time to time she raffles off her clothing, asking fans to donate to a cause close to her heart and then she picks one lucky entrant to give her designs too. But, keep an eye on her ‘gram because she also sells some of her knitted creations from time to time.
