A Celebrity Version Of RuPaul’s Drag Race Is Coming And We’re Too Excited

Because we can't get enough of the Queens.

Die hard Drag Race fans have been loving the show for 10 years now, and we’ve been binging each and every season since it graced our Netflix accounts. We were only delighted when RuPaul announced the UK version, closer to home with even more familiar faces.

Now, the celebr-TEA is being spilt, as RuPaul’s Drag Race Celebrity has been announced. As the name suggests, rather than having professional drag queens lip sync for their lives, it’ll be well-known celebrities who are up for the challenge.

The show, which we’re expecting to see in 2020, will feature some of our favourite previous queens from past years as they transform some famous faces and give them the full drag queen lowdown. The latest Instagram post from @rupaulsdragrace let us in on who will be transforming the celebs. So, deep breath: Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, MonĂ©t X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel and Mis Vaaaaaaanjie, obv.

Each episode will see the previous contestants transform three celebs, who are all gunning for a cash prize, with the winner donating the prize money to a charity of their choice. There are only going to be four episodes (sob) and the 12 celebrities taking part will be announced soon.

Really, there’s no stopping RuPaul right now and we can’t wait to see how this season plays out.
