A Dive Into Lana Del Rey’s Alligator Tour Guide Marriage

Ms. Summertime Sadness has little reason to be down lately, as the singer was recently spotted tying the knot with an unknown older gentleman—very much in classic Lana style.

She does have a thing for mysterious, everyday men, doesn’t she?

Who is Lana Del Rey’s husband, you might ask? Well, he’s none other than Jeremy Dufrene, an alligator tour guide from Louisiana. Dufrene takes visitors on airboat tours through the alligator swamps of Louisiana, where he had a memorable encounter with Lana in 2019.

She joined the tour with two of her girl friends, and it seems they hit it off, as she later posted a photo of herself with Dufrene during the tour on her Facebook account.

Lana denied dating rumours back in 2019 but it seems things have changed over the past four years according to paparazzi pictures of the two’s outdoor wedding last week released by the Daily Mail who broke the story accompanied by some drone shots of the occasion.

The two tied the knot on the 26th of September in Louisiana where Lana was spotted wearing a beautiful thrifted lace gown walking down the aisle by her father Rob Grant whom she has written songs with.

How we know she wore a lace dress considering it was a secret wedding? Well, Paparazzi of course.

Lana wasn’t too impressed when she discovered that her secret wedding had been photographed via drones as she took to Twitter to say, “Stop switching vehicles following the family – and stop following us around remote parts of the country and Photoshopping my wedding ring into a pearl – I know we would feel a lot safer.”

Nevertheless she made sure to clarify her choice to wed Jeremy and let fans know she was happy by stating: “All that being said Jeremy is the one and only. And amazing. And we’re very happy.” 

Lana hinted to her fans that Jeremy was the special man in her life back in May when she posted a photo on Instagram of the two of them, captioned, “Family with my guy @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay.”

Many fans have been quick to comment on the fact that Jeremy is 10 years older than Lana and to mock his job as an alligator tour guide.

However, one user came to his defence, stating, “She looks pretty happy. I don’t understand why people focus so much on the fact that he’s an ‘alligator tour guide.’ I’d marry an out-of-work coal miner if I thought he was a good and honourable man.”

That said, celebrity relationships don’t have the best track record in fairness, and it feels very much in line with Lana’s character to marry a modest man in secret, on a Louisiana swamp in a thrifted dress.

She isn’t made for Hollywood life and that’s why we love her, isn’t it?
