A WHAT Now?! This Unlikely Fashion Trend Is Making A Comeback, But Would You Wear It?

Inspired by your favourite super hero, you're about to see this one on the streets.

Cape Street Style

The midi dress, the skinny jean and the Chelsea boot. Some trends are easy to wear, others? Not so much, and the latest trend soon to be sweeping the high-street is certainly a bit more out there.

Where the popularity of the choker leaves off, the cape – inspired by the likes of Wonder Woman, Cat Woman et al – picks up.

That’s right my friends. Forget the standard bomber jacket or the statement coat, because capes are very much back in vogue for the coming season.

And we for one are rejoicing. A much needed side step from dusters, cocoons and anoraks we’ve been rocking for the past two years, capes add a certain elegance to even the most understated of looks. Like it’s no coincidence that the Queen dons one at her most royal events. It’s because capes are just that, fit for a queen. And, as we are constantly championing you to embrace your inner queen, we see no reason, why you shouldn’t get fully involved in this runway and royalty-approved trend.

The only thing is figuring out exactly which cape is for you. We are, after all, all superwomen in our own ways, so therefore it’s only right that we would have our own signature capes to go along with that.

Following on from Fashion editor Linda’s gorgeous inspo in this month’s mag (on shelves now, bbz), we have found the best online pieces that you can shop right now. Go, go, go!
