Amy Hart Has Shared Her Love Island Audition Tape – If You’re Looking For Some Pointers
Here's what a winning audition tape looks like, if you're interested.
She may not have won the show, but Amy Hart is certainly one of the most memorable contestants to come out of this year’s Love Island.
The reality star has shared her audition tape on Youtube to give us a sense of what show bosses are looking for.
In the short clip, it opens on footage of Amy being crowned at a pageant followed by her proclaiming: “Miss international title-holder…still can’t get a text back.”
Amy goes on to talk about being a third wheel having seen all her friends coupled up with their Mr Right.
The former air hostess cabin crew member added that she’s still single because of her no-nonsense approach.
“If you’re an idiot I’ll tell you,” she said.
We certainly saw this side of her when it came to Curtis Pritchard.
Amy eventually walked out of the Villa after her heartache.
“I didn’t see it as going on to a TV show – I went in there ‘to find someone’. What an idiot!”
You can check out the video below, IDK whether it’s the pool scene or the long blonde locks but we’re getting Elle Woods vibes from Amy.
She captioned the video with some facts about the process and pointers on how to get picked for the show.
“No matter what you may have heard, EVERYONE has to audition to be on Love Island. Nobody just gets contacted and put in the villa. There’s so much more to it than that,” she wrote.
The 27-year-old added that she is often asked about how to get in to the show.
“So if you fancy your chances in the villa next year, get cracking! If it happened for me, it can happened for anyone – I really ummed and ahhed whether to send this video – but in the end I went for it. And it paid off. As the old saying goes… If you want something you’ve never had before, you have to do something you’ve never done before.”
“And for those of you asking my advice, here’s some tips.
1) Be yourself – you’ll soon get found out. And it’ll be even harder to keep up a facade when you’re in the villa.
2) Be honest – don’t pretend to be a rocket scientist if you’re not. But if you are, shout it from the rooftops!
3) Be creative and show your personality – remember, it’s for a TV show!
4) Make an effort with your appearance. Don’t just roll out of bed in your pyjamas with last night’s make up on!
And finally… good luck! I really can’t wait to see who will get picked for the next series.
It really was a life-changing experience for me. And while I might not have found love, I made friends who’ll be in my life forever.”
Pretty sound advice we reckon, in our non-expert opinion we’d probably add something about making sure you can handle the highs and lows of the show, as it can really take it’s toll on your mental health.
