Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have officially filed for divorce, two years after tying the knot.

The couple’s split came to the world’s attention back in July, when TMZ reported they had secretly separated back in January.

The news of the separation hit headlines earlier this month, and fans later spotted her wedding photos had been removed from Instagram.

Insiders have claimed that the downfall of the marriage came as a result of Ariana’s fame. But, it was having to be accompanied by security in public that was the biggest difference in their lifestyles that led them both to grow apart.

Ariana’s lawyer Laura Wasser, filed legal documents on Monday citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for divorce.

Dalton did the same almost immediately, following his exes lead with their date of separation being listed as February 20, 2023.

A source told TMZ that they both took time out to come to an agreement on their separation and to settle.

They also added that there are no hard feelings between the former couple and noted:  “They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another at every step of this process.”

The divorce filing comes amid rumours of the pop princess’ new romance with co-star Ethan Slater.

According to TMZ, Ariana is on the road to a new romance with her Wicked co-star, who plays Boq in the film adaptaion of the Broadway musical.

Sources have claimed the pair have been dating for several months, but didn’t start seeing each other until after her split from Dalton in February.
