Ariana Grande Confirms Her Role In Wicked Anniversary Special
It's her first post since her apparent split from Pete Davidson.
Ariana Grande confirmed she won’t be bailing on her role in A Very Wicked Halloween, right after news she split from fiancé Pete Davidson broke.
In a since deleted post on Instagram, Ariana shared a photo of her part in the NBC special which is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Wicked’s Broadway debut.
“Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time,” she wrote alongside lyrics from ‘The Wizard and I,’ one the show’s many iconic hits. “wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe.”
The post left fans confused as the singer is yet to comment on her split from fiancé Pete Davidson after the news broke early yesterday morning.
Ariana has canceled her last few public events to take some time for herself — including performances at Saturday Night Live and a charity event — and news of the breakup may have had fans questioning whether her appearance in the Wicked special would go ahead.
Although the Instagram post has been deleted, the same picture still appears on Twitter, so we can assume the performance is happening.
