Ariel Winter Calls Out Her Modern Family Co-Stars For Meeting Up Without Her

Well, this feels *awkward*.

We presume this is in good humour, but Ariel Winters just called out her Modern Family co-stars online after they met up for a picnic without inviting her; by the looks of things.

Sharing a snap to Instagram, Sarah Hyland posted a selection of selfies taken by Sofia Vergara with the caption:

“Picnic days with the fam”

In the photo, we can see Sarah Hyland (Hayley Dunphy), Sofia Vergara (Gloria Delgado Pritchett) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchel Pritchett) alongside their partners and Jesse’s little baby boy and yeah, the whole thing looks very wholesome and cute.

As any Modern Family stan will know, the whole cast and crew are practically like family off screen too, with Sarah Hyland often crediting Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell (Claire and Phill Dunphy) as her second set of parents, with Bowen acting as a strong driving force behind Sarah’s 2014 split with Matthew Prokop – who she reportedly ended up getting a temporary restraining order from at the time.

But now, it looks like Sarah’s mini reunion with some of the castmates didn’t please everyone as Ariel Winter (Alex Dunphy) has taken to the comments to query where her invite went.

“did mine & @nolangould’s invite get sent to the dunphy house because you know we don’t live there anymore guys!!!!!!”

In the comments, Ariel can be seen referring to Nolan Gould, who plays Luke Dunphy in the show, the younger brother to both Ariel and Sarah’s characters.

None of the Modern Family stars have yet to respond to Ariel’s comment, but it hasn’t stopped fans from commenting on the reaction, giving their two cents on whether or not they think the comment is salty or simply, a joke.

Now, Ariel herself has since commented on the post again, this time to alert fans that it was a joke, but it seems like people are still not sure if it was initially meant to be a laugh.

“I love how you have to defend yourself when your joke was too obvious,” one fan wrote.

While another said:

“You should check your Las Vegas mail box,” in reference to where Ariel was at the time of the meet up.

Well, there’s only one way to settle this, another reunion with all the cast and plenty of content for us to look at because tbqh, we love this group far too much and we’ve got a Modern Family shaped hole in our hearts.
