After a whirlwind summer in the sun, the Love Island contestants made their way home following the final on Monday night.

The couples have a lot to catch up on, as some of the Islanders have been without their phones and much contact with the outside world at all for months.

Many who entered with a handful of followers and a normal 9-5 job are coming home to millions of fans on social media and huge brand deals.

Winners Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill shared some cute snaps and videos from the airport.

Amber spent a total of nine weeks in the villa, so we’d imagine she’s dying to get home to her own bed! Greg, on the other hand, spent about two weeks in Casa Amor where he coupled up with Amber and went on to win the show! Impressive.

The Islanders were gifted some welcome home packages on the flight which included monogrammed towels and magazine covers with their faces on – get used to that, guys!

Queen of Longford Maura Higgins also shared a pic with Curtis Pritchard in which she said she was ‘shocked and overwhelmed’ by all the support.

The couple came fourth in the show.

“I’m back everybody. Absolutely shocked and overwhelmed with all the support for me and Curtis,” she said.

“Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. We love you all!”

The couples flew into Stansted where they were reportedly mobbed by fans and followers and eagerly met by their family and friends. What a moment!
