BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing Will Allow Same Sex Dance Partners On The Show From 2020

FINALLY!

BBC celeb dancing show Strictly Come Dancing will have same sex dance couples on the show from next season onwards.

The news comes following last year’s hugely popular season saw the first ever same sex routine between two pro dancers, which went down to rave reviews with viewers.

Ahead of next week’s new season kicking off, bosses are saying the want the show to represent a ‘modern Britain.’

“Bosses have said while there aren’t any same sex pairings in this series, they’d definitely be open to it, given the right combination of celebs and dancers,” a BBC source revealed.

“The show’s always been inclusive and reflects modern Britain.

“Having previously thought it was unnecessary, it has dawned on people at the BBC that the original British show looks a bit backwards in not having embraced the notion of a same-sex couple.’

We’re already buzzing for next season!
