Sex and the City’s reboot And Just Like That pack’s a star-powered punch. Not only did some of the original stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon return, but some new stars have also joined, like Grey’s Anatomy’s Sara Ramírez and Nicole Ari Parker from Empire.

But did you there was one star who was set to make an appearance before the plans fell through?

Britney Spears’ fiancé, Sam Asghari, nearly played Travis, Carrie’s hunky physical therapist, who helps her recover after hip surgery in the new series. While Sam auditioned for the role, it ended up going to Australian actor Ryan Cooper.

But Sam handled things like a pro and even congratulated his competition. Writing on Instagram, “Man, I was looking forward to this role for the reboot of Sex and the City, And Just Like That. Shout out to the dude that got it! It was a dope role.”

And Sam wasn’t the only one to be a gentleman about the situation. Ryan reached out to Sam to send him some kind words following him landing the role instead of Sam.

Ryan told Page Six, “That’s the world we’re in. There’s a genuine state of pushing for your dreams and I’m all for that. I wrote to him and said, ‘Good on ya, share the wins, share the failures. That’s what life is, we’re all human beings.”

Wow! The guys really kept things classy.

While Sam might have missed out on an And Just Like That role but that doesn’t mean his career is slowing down any. He was recently cast in a big-budget Mel Gibson film, Hot Seat. It will also star Entourage’s Kevin Dillon.

Sam told Hollywood Life, “It is a great action film, and I can’t wait for it to release.”
