“Cancelled…” Dua Lipa Is Being Slammed By Fans For *This* Offensive Song Cover

People are NOT happy

Dua Lipa has cemented herself as a fan favourite this year, what with her song of the summer, New Rules, but she has now ruffled a few feathers… in a very bad way.

The queen of breakups has been recorded covering a song back in 2014, called Smoke, Drink and Breakups, by Mila J. Although she sounds amazing, fans think they hear her singing the n-word in the song.

There is definitely an effort to muffle the word, but either way, twitter is calling for her to be cancelled.

Dua herself has since responded to the incident, telling fans how sorry she was.

“In relation to my 2014 cover I never meant to offend or upset anyone. I didnt say the full word but I can admit I shouldnt have gone there at all and that a different word could’ve been recorded altogether to avoid offence and confusion. I wasn’t thinking it through at the time.

“I always stand up for social justice and I am very sorry to anyone that I have offended x,”

What do you think of the audio?
