10 Albums Coming In 2020 To Look Forward To

We have new albums from Selena Gomez, Kesha, Halsey and more on the way.

With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, we can properly start getting excited about what lies ahead in the world of music.

There’s loads of massive releases coming next year and here are 10 albums that we’re most excited about.

Rare – Selena Gomez

Release date: January 10
Rare is Selena Gomez’s third solo album and it’s set to give us a huge insight into the singer’s personal life. This is the follow-up album to 2015’s incredible Revival and she promises that it has a “strong sense of pop”.

Manic – Halsey

Release date: January 17
Manic will be Halsey’s third album and she says that it reflects her current worldview. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she says that she samples “hip-hop, rock, country, f–king everything — because it’s so manic. It’s soooooo manic.”

High Road – Kesha

Release date: January 31
High Road will see Kesha make a return to her pop roots. Her fourth studio album, this is her first release since 2017’s Rainbow, which took a more personal turn following her legal issues and personal struggles in the years previous. If there’s one thing we know that this album will do, it’s make us dance.

Supervision – La Roux

Release date: February 7
Supervision will be the third studio album from English singer Elly Jackson and it promises to be full of electropop, dance floor bangers. This will be her first album in six years and the first La Roux album to be released on Jackson’s  independent label Supercolour Records.

Notes On A Conditional Form – The 1975

Release date: February 21
Notes on a Conditional Form will be the  fourth studio album by the English alt-rock band The 1975, following on from 2018’s  A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. This is the second album from their three-part Music for Cars era.

Justin Bieber

Release date: TBC
While we know that Biebz is releasing his new single Yummy on January 3, we’re still in the dark about when his album will be released. Fear not, though, as he has a new album, a docu-series and a tour all coming this year.

Rihanna

Release date: TBC
Could it be true?? Rihanna’s label Def Jam tweeted a photo of Rihanna and the diamond emoji on December 26. Rihanna has gotten our hopes up before but if she decides to drop R9 in 2020, it will help us all sleep well at night.

Future Nostalgia – Dua Lipa

Release date: TBC
Future Nostalgia will be Dua Lipa’s second album and with Don’t Start Now acting as the lead single, we can confirm that we are very ready for this new era of Lipa. The English singers says that the album is inspired by  Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Moloko, Blondie and Outkast, so expect a weird and wonderful soundscape.

Niall Horan

Release date: TBC
If Nice To Meet Ya is anything to go by, our Niall Horan is moving away from the soft-rock country stylings and will be diving into slightly sultrier rock sound. Honestly, if the album is just Nice To Meet Ya and Slow Hands x 10, that would still be grand.

Normani

Release date: TBC
Motivation is one of the best singles of 2019 – fact – and while she has some ground to cover yet, Normani may be the best former member of Fifth Harmony. Soz, Camila.
