Adele is undoubtedly a legend from the 2010s music scene. Not only is she extremely talented, with a voice unlike anyone else’s, but she also has a personality that you cannot help but adore—SO iconic.
Since releasing her last album 30 in 2021 which reflected on her journey of self-love following her divorce, Adele has announced a break from songwriting and touring.
While the singer has not toured since 2017, she did do a residency of 100 live shows, during which she said, “This residency went on to mirror what 30 was about, lost and broken to healed and thriving!” Therefore, she believes it’s only fitting to move on now.
Adele is no stranger to taking breaks in between albums. Between each release in the past, Adele has taken a good few years to record a new one. She prefers to write when it has genuine value and meaning to her.

Following her last shows in LA and Munich, Adele told the LA Times that she wants to “live (her) life”.
And during her 10 sold-out shows in Munich, the singer told the audience, “I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very f—good at it. And I have enjoyed performing for nearly three years now.”
She told fans with a heavy heart: “I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break,” she reassured everyone that “It has been amazing. I just need a rest.”
While performing means everything to Adele and the huge success of her residency of over 100 live shows is undeniable, she admitted that the hectic-ness of it all has left her “tank quite empty”.
Adele confirmed her engagement to her partner Rich Paul during the Munich residency. Therefore we are sure the singer will enjoy planning her wedding during this time off and focusing on herself.
Sadly, Adele has no plans to release new music however we are hoping that this will change and a new Adele album will be on the cards sometime in the future, no matter how long it will be.
