Elle Goulding Reveals She Had ‘No Idea’ She Was Pregnant

A massive congratulations to Ellie Goulding who has announced she’s pregnant.

Revealing the happy news during an interview with British Vogue, Ellie explained that she found out she was pregnant last August, after performing a virtual show.

Confessing that she had “no idea” she was pregnant, a beaming Ellie told the publication that she found out on her one year wedding anniversary.

“We did the one show. I was pregnant and had no idea. That was the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out.”

Continuing, she added:

“It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human.”

Explaining that she’s loving her newfound curves, as much as her husband, Ellie married art dealer Caspar Jopling back in 2019. Getting married at York Minster, the star-studded wedding included guests like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom as well as the royal family, with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in attendance.

Finding out she was pregnant in the midst of writing her fitness book, Fitter. Calmer. Stronger, Ellie noted that it has been hard to curb her pregnancy cravings to keep on the “good tracks”.

“Whatever this baby did when it took over my body was like, Hell no—I do not want broccoli, spinach, collards! I just wanted sugar and carbs,” she added.
