Here’s What Khloe Kardashian Had To Say About Her Deleted Bikini Picture

Everyone has the right to post what they like of themselves on social media. And as we all know by now, social media gives you about a 10% look into someone’s life though a filtered lens and often, it’s just the highlights reel of the things they really want others to see.

So when you’re a global celebrity and an image of yourself you didn’t want getting out begins to trend on social media, regardless of how you look in it, it can feel extremely invasive. Cue Khloe Kardashian’s recent debacle when an unedited image the star in “bad lighting” was plastered all over social media after being uploaded by her grandmother MJ.

The image, which shows the 36-year-old standing at poolside in a leopard print bikini was one that the star wasn’t happy about – we’ve all been there – and so, tried to get her team to remove the image from the internet which resulted in it being shared more widely.

Now, in reponse to all the drama, Khloe Kardashian has shared a series of videos of herself from an Instagram Live to show they’re “not photoshopped” and penned a statement to her Instagram highlighting her struggles with her image for years.

Explaining that although the bikini picture was “beautiful”, she spends her whole life been ridiculed and so, didn’t want to be in the firing line for another reason. The star went on to add that everyone has photos of themselves that they believe don’t do them justice, especially when she’s worked so hard to achieve the incredible body she has today.

“In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule and judgement my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear,” she explained.

“‘Khloe is the fat sister.’ ‘Khloe is the ugly sister’. ‘Her dad must not be her real dad because she looks so different’ ‘The only way she could have lost that weight must have been from surgery.’ Should I go on?” Khloe added.

Continuing that she’s not looking for pity, the KUWTK star added that it’s impossible to constantly live up to the beauty standards put on her and so, she’s trying to live her life as honest as possible, but won’t apologise for enjoying filters and edits to “present myself to the world the way I want to be seen and it’s exactly what I will continue to do unapologetically”.

Receiving praise from her sisters, mother Kris, Ariana Grande and E!’s Morgan Stewart to name a few, Khloe’s post has now got over three million likes and counting as people applaud her for standing up for herself and her right to share with the world what she deems fit.
