Here’s When Luca Plans To Ask Gemma To Be His Girlfriend

Luca and Gemma might have come second in Love Island, but it’s certainly clear that the pair feel like they’ve won having found “the one” during their exit chat from the villa.

Speaking about the “surreal” experience, the pair admitted that they’re feeling on top of the world following the final and now, are keen to plan for the future.

First off, the pair were the only couple of the final four who didn’t make their relationship “official” during their time in the villa. During the season, Gemma admitted that she wanted to bring any connection she made on the show into the outside world before confirming it was right, adding that she’d want to meet family and friends in a more natural setting.

And despite Luca wishing to do the opposite as he saw all the Islanders around him couple up, he’s now excited to give Gemma the relationship proposal she wants, revealing when he plans to do so.

“There is a plan and it will hopefully happen in the next month and I’m sure you’ll see it unfold. It’ll be something to do with a swimming pool.”

Adding to the conversation, Gemma chimed in:

“He knows me well enough now to not do anything too cringe! So, I trust him and I’ll let him get on with it. I’m sure I’ll love it, whatever it is.”

As the pair live over three hours away from each other with Gemma in Chester and Luca in Brighton, it looks as though the pair need to first figure out their living situation or they could end up being long distance.

“There is no middle ground – it’s Chester or nothing,” revealed Luca. “I’m happy to go wherever she wants me to go. I haven’t got too many commitments back home so it’s easier for me to move. Whatever makes us happy and whatever is right we’ll do. Hopefully if I move near her, in time we’ll get a place together.”
