It’s Finally A Great Day For Britney Spears

After demanding for her father to be removed from his position, Jamie Spears has agreed to step down.

Jamie Spears has agreed to step down from his role in Britney Spears’ conservatorship, pledging to participate in an “orderly transition”, it was announced on Thursday night.

After filling a petition for Jamie Spears’ suspension from the conservatorship, one which Britney said in court was allegedly abusive and controlling her life, Jamie Spears has decided to step down on his own accord before the judge’s ruling next month.

According to Jamie’s lawyers in a court filing, the father of three is stepping down despite there being “no actual grounds” for his suspension or removal and will do so when certain matters were resolved.

It’s now believed Jamie Spears wants to work with the courts “to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator.”

It continues that Jamie Spears does not believe a public battle with his daughter is in “her best interests”.

Britney’s lawyer,Mathew Rosengart, described the removal of her father as conservator as a “vindication” for his client.

Right now, Jodi Montgomery, is still a conservator of Britney’s personal affairs and will continue to do so on a temporary basis.

Throughout the conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement – led by fans that have campaigned for Britney’s freedom – the star has remained active on social media, admitting that she sees the fans and she’s very thankful.

As for her music career, Britney hasn’t performed on stage since 2018, adding that she wouldn’t perform while her father oversaw her career and multimillion-dollar estate. But there’s also talks that Britney could be set to retire, however, none of these reports have been confirmed as of yet.

Right now, however, this a big win for Britney and her legal team and the direction they want to go in, it’s finally a great day for the star.

More to follow as we hear it.
