Kristen Wiig Has Welcomed Twins Via Surrogacy

A massive congratulations to Kristen Wiig and fiancé Avi Rothman who have welcomed twins via surrogacy.

On SNL last month for the show’s Mother’s Day special, Kristen thanked her mom, Laurie Johnston for helping her prepare to become a mom herself.

Explaining that Mother’s Day is a special one to celebrate moms everywhere, the actress revealed that she didn’t give her mom enough credit in the past 45 years.

“I don’t know if I truly appreciated my mom the first 45 years of my life. But this year I’m feeling especially grateful for her advice, her love. I’m so thankful for all the things she’s taught me, like preparing to be a mom myself.”

People reports that Kristen and her partner Avi welcomed their twins earlier this year and since, have been taking this moment of pause as the perfect time to focus on parenthood in private.

Kristen and Avi have been dating since 2016 and got engaged last year. Avi is a writer, producer and director (which makes them the perfect pair!), and both Kristen and Avi attended the same school for acting and the arts before their careers took off.

Besides starring on SNL, Kristen is most noted for her role in 2009 hit Bridesmaids and most recently, this year’s upcoming blockbuster Wonder Woman 1984 – which has been delayed until August.
