Liam Payne Marks 10 Years Since The Start Of 1D With Sweet Throwback

Liam Payne has reminded us with his most recent Instagram post that we are approaching the tenth year anniversary of One Direction. Ten years? A whole decade of the One Direction boys, it’s hard to imagine a world before Harry Styles now tbh.

Liam marked the tenth anniversary of his life changing X-Factor audition with a major throwback on Instagram. The picture shows a baby Liam with Justin Bieber esque hair looking a bit shell shocked and excited onstage at an early X-Factor audition.

Liam wrote, “It’s been 10 years today since my X Factor audition… and I just read that my first album just hit over 2 billion streams…that scared young man didn’t think that was gonna happen…” Liam went on to thank fans for their support of his music and as well for their support of his “awful haircuts” over the years, he somehow seemed to rock them all at the time.

Since Liam first hit our screens he’s gone through some major image and personal life changes in front of the public eye.

His hairstyles went from the straight ‘Bieber’ cut, to a curly mop for a brief stint around the release of the band’s first album, to a spikey quiff and even a shaved head when making his solo debut. Liam also went from the ‘responsible’ band member who was very fond of a check shirt, to a father to X-factor judge Cheryl’s baby, to a ‘ladies’ man’ post breakup who favoured vests and gold chains to his old ‘Directioner’ looks, Payne was most recently dating 19-year-old fashion model Maya Henry.

Rumours have been swirling about a possible ten-year reunion for the boys, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see that day as Niall revealed their plans for marking the occasion include “nothing in terms of getting the band back together for now.”

We are patiently waiting for that day and will never be too old for One Direction…
